Technology is the greatest invention of the 21st century. It has transformed the world to a great level. All of us are surrounded by technology and the present era; everything has become more accessible and convenient. Our reliance on technology has resulted out in a massive market for devices. Exclusive features are coming up every day, which has made people contingent on technology. There are two sides to the same counterfeit coin. On the one hand, technology provides extremely great comfort to our life, whereas on the other hand, it is restricting the growth of creativity.

We all want to be in our comfort zone. Once we get settled on something, it becomes difficult for us to get out of it. Technologies such as mobile phones have created a significant impact on lives. It has made our social and personal life smooth. We are connected to people all over the world through social media. Anything happening around the globe reaches people also in remote areas. The Internet has provided meaning to our lives. Nowadays, people are preferring learning online rather than offline as it reduces their transportation costs. Learning has become inexpensive as there are so many places on the Internet to gain knowledge. Now the emerging industry is electric cars. In the future, these will replace manual and automatic vehicles. Similarly, the growth of technology is unbounded in every field of work. Hence, people are getting more relief in their job.

On the other hand, reliance on gadgets has made our minds slow. It has restricted the growth of our creativity. In schools and colleges, assignments and projects are given to skill up young people’s minds, but the Internet has provided everything that indulges young senses to copy and paste. The main motive of research and projects has become vanished. There are specific platforms like Instagram where people can showcase their talent by uploading pictures and videos. Social media has created mental pressure on people in various ways. They are trying to show others that they possess better than them. Self-consciousness has created pressure on young minds to exhibit themselves better than others. Students spend most of their time playing video games and using social media like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The days are gone where children went to play after school, which made them healthier and fit. Now children are observed as dull and sick due to lack of physical activities replaced by several gadgets. Moreover, games like Pubg have created hype which leads young people to suicide.

Therefore, technology has undoubtedly reduced the workload of human beings but has created a barrier to the creativity of young minds. Since the technology has proven to be an obsessive distraction, and people have not prevented its usage, it is killing creativity. Although technology is beneficial for adults, children are found misusing it. Well, we idolize billionaires rather than intellectuals.
